Barcelona Soundtrack

La percepció sonora d’una ciutat ens influeix en molts aspectes fent-nos despertar noves sensacions en relació als espais. Ens pot accelerar el ritme, o fer-nos parar per deleitar-nos els sentits. Els sorolls, xiuxiuejos, melodies i músiques d’una ciutat creiem que és el que la fan única i irrepetible, és per això que hem decidit captar la Barcelona viva, aquella que conjuga les veus dels qui la passegen amb els seus propis sons.
Hem triat aquest àmbit de la ciutat perquè apart de ser el cor i centre de Barcelona, ens ofereix una ampli ventall de possibilitats. Oferim una visió propera, a peu de vianant, amb un grup de sensacions auditives que conformaran els records dels que vénen de fora. Amb un simple passeig, trobem un gran registre de canvis i variacions, tant físiques com sonores, que son degudes principalment al diferent tipus de veïnat i a la gent que concorre aquests espais.
L’idea del nostre projecte, en definitiva, és captar l´essència d’una Barcelona habitada a través dels seus sons.

The soundtrack perception of a city affects us in many ways raising new sensations in relation to space. It can accelerate our rhythm, or stop it to delight us visually and sonorously. The noise, mumbling, melodies and music of a city is, in our point of view, what makes the city unique. That’s why we decided to captivate our Barcelona alive, the one that combines the voices of the walking people with its own noises.
We have chosen this area of the city because, aside from being the heart and centre of Barcelona, brings us a lot of possibilities. We offer a close vision full of auditive sensations that will build the souvenir of the foreign people. With a simple walk, we found a large register of changes and variations, both physical and recordings, which are due mainly to the neighbours and to the people who travels through these spaces.
The idea of our project, all in all, is to capture the essence of Barcelona through their sounds.
