Este trabajo quiere reflejar las distintas velocidades, ritmos, secuencias, percepciones espaciales y en definitiva las distintas visiones que se tienen de una ciudad como Barcelona dependiendo del medio de transporte que se use.
Tomamos como referencia tres diferentes: coche, bici y caminar.
Aquello que parece una ventaja en un medio resulta un inconveniente para el otro. Cuando el coche se para el peatón camina. En un atasco, preferiríamos ir en bici. Cuesta arriba desearíamos estar dentro del coche y para dar un paseo y poder disfrutar plenamente de la ciudad nada mejor que ir a pie. Para grandes distancias con tiempo ajustado vamos a lo seguro, al metro, que al actuar en una cota diferente es efectivo, pero eso sí, el paisaje que se ve resulta agobiante.
En este vídeo se muestran recorridos paralelos y el tejido urbano que se ve a través de ellos se percibe como ciudades diferentes.
This work wants to reflect the different speeds, rhythms, sequences, space perceptions and finally the different visions of a city like Barcelona, depending on the transport you use. As references we take three of them: car, bike, walking.
That which seems an advantage in one mean of transport turns to be a handicap in another one. When the car stops, the p
edestrian walks. In a traffic jam situation we prefer the bike. Uphill we would like to sit inside a car and to enjoy the city life fully, nothing better than walk. When we run short of time and we need to cover a big distance, we choose the tube: moving on a different level is practical, but the landscape becomes claustrophobic.
Parallel routes are shown in this video, and the urban plot which appears through them is perceived as if there were different cities.
